Champion Chatter - June 2006 A special section for Champion Credit Union’s young savers

Summer Fun You’ve waited all school year for it and it is finally here! Summer!!! We’re halfway through the year and the CCU young savers are doing a great job saving. The credit union loves to see our young savers making deposits into their account so they can receive their bonus deposit in December. CCU young savers know it is really cool to save and watch their money grow. If you haven’t joined the Young Savers Club yet, just ask any CCU staff member for details on joining. You can join anytime, but may not get your bonus this year. We would love to have you join the club! Keep cool this summer and keep saving in your Champion Credit Union Young Savers Club account. Don’t forget to have your young savers card stamped each month so you can get your bonus deposit in December. Would you like to tell your friends about the CCU Young Savers Club? Go ahead! CCU can serve just about anyone so tell your family and friends about it. Tell them to become a part of the club that pays you a bonus for saving. Have a great summer and keep saving!

Champ's Favorite Banana Pancakes (Ask an adult to help make this treat!) 4 medium eggs, separated   1 cup of milk 1 teaspoon of vanilla Cooking oil 2 cups of flour 1 cup of pureed banana Pinch of cinnamon   Beat the egg whites until they are stiff; then refrigerate Mix together the flour, egg yolks, and milk Add the vanilla & cinnamon, then mix thoroughly Coat a suitably sized skillet with cooking oil; then heat Fold 4 tablespoons of egg white into 1 cup of pancake batter Have an adult pour into a hot skillet and cook, turning once Repeat until all batter is used and enjoy!

You voted and told us that you wanted Champ the Chimp as your young savers club mascot. Champ is still a bit shy when it comes to meeting his fans, but watch for appearances in your newsletters and for really cool club activities. Champ would really love for you to visit some of his Chimpanzee friends at the Toledo Zoo. Young savers, fill out the entry form and return it to the credit union by July 31, to enter to win tickets to the Toledo Zoo.
