When you're member owned...

Did you know that YOU are an owner at CCU? Credit unions are member owned financial institutions that focus on our members and return any profits to our members in the form of higher dividends, lower loan rates and fees, and a variety of services at no or lower than average direct costs to you!

At CCU here are just a few of the services we provide to our member/owners:

  • Credit Life Coverage - pays up to $20,000.00 on your outstanding loans for qualified borrowers, at no direct cost to the borrower.
  • GAP Plus protection - provides added protection for a nominal cost if your vehicle is ever totaled out by your insurance company. GAP protection covers the difference between the amount you owe on your loan and the amount your insurance company pays. The Plus? $1,000.00 to use as a down payment on another vehicle financed at CCU!
  • Mechanical Repair Coverage - An extended warranty for your vehicle for a fee usually less than a dealer would charge. MRC also allows multiple levels of coverage and deductible options to tailor the coverage and cost to fit your needs.
  • Life Savings Insurance - Up to $1,000.00 in Life Insurance. Coverage is based upon age and amount on deposit up to a maximum of $1,000.00, at no direct cost to our members.
Call the credit union for more information on these and other products and services!

Foreign Check Information

Members depositing foreign checks at the credit union may be responsible for any expenses the credit union incurs for the collection of foreign items.

This should be kept as an update with the rate and fee disclosure you received when you opened your account.

Own It, Borrow From It, Get Something Back!

When you borrow at Champion Credit Union, where you are an owner, you get something back. To show that we appreciate your business; an interest refund was paid to most members on their loans. The Board of Directors approved the one percent refund to be deposited into borrowers’ primary share accounts on December 31. The refund amount is calculated on the interest paid on loans during the last quarter of 2007.

Your credit union is one of only a handful that pay an interest refund to borrowers. That makes your great CCU loan rate an even better deal. When you are considering a new loan, remember that historically your credit union has paid you back for borrowing and you receive Credit Life Insurance at no direct cost.

This is Champion Credit Union’s way of saying "Thank you" for your continued support!

A Little Bit Of This & A Little Bit Of That
  • Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Champion Credit Union donated over $450.00 to Family House. CCU staff and members also donated household items, toiletries, cleaning supplies, and more. Donations will continue to be accepted on an ongoing basis at all CCU locations.
  • Loyalty pays off!
When you apply for a loan with CCU, don’t forget to ask for the Loyal Member discount. Ask for more details when you apply and you could get an even better CCU rate!
  • Tax filing with CCU
CCU will begin to have a tax filing link on their website beginning January 14, 2008. Members who use the link will receive a $5.00 discount off the normal eztaxreturn.com filing fees. Most State and Federal returns can be completed and filed. Eztaxreturn.com is easy to complete and you generally receive your refund within two weeks of filing with no additional fee.
  • Direct deposit of tax refunds
If you choose not to use the CCU tax filing link, you can still have your refund safely deposited directly into your Champion Credit Union account. Simply use the CCU routing and transit number, 241281882, and your account number when choosing direct deposit.
  • Too much holiday shopping?
If you find your finances in a pinch after your holiday shopping, call CCU to help. CCU can refinance high rate credit cards, and consolidate bills to give your finances a break. You can also apply here online.
